Training Course ”Online safety on digital era” – February 2024 – Bucharest, Romania
Event Time: February 22nd – March 1st, 2024
This is a trainig course for youth leaders, youth workers, facilitators, volunteers, staff members of partener organizations, age over 18 that wewre selected by partners
This project will gather 26 youth workers (3 from parteners countries + 5 from Romania) from Spain, Croatia, Estonia, Romania, Italy, North Macedonia, Poland and Hungary.
Context
We aim to strengthen the skills of youth workers to respond to hate speech by countering, neutralizing and preventing it in the online space and by occupying the online media space with positive narratives and examples of civic courage, so that they can use these skills with the young people they work with (for more details see Infopack – link below)
Participants profile
The participants involved in this project will be youth workers interested in civic involvement, education and according to the following profile:
• A minimum age of 18
• Strong motivation to learn and acquire new skills;
• Attitude for dialogue and mutual understanding;
• Gender Balance have to be followed as much as possible;
• Priority will be given to youth workers with fewer opportunities background and at their first Erasmus+ experience

Working methods
All activities will be done through the methodsof non-formal education that is a voluntary,non hierarchical approach and all its methodsare based on the concept of learning by doing.
Most relevant method used will be NewspaperTheatre along with ice breakers, team buildingactivities, brainstorming, working in smallgroups, plenary discussions, group evaluation,infographics etc.
Project Objectives
O1. Mapping the causes and stakeholders behind the lack of security in the online environment
O2. Involvement of youth workers through creative methods in the prevention of hate speech,cyberbullying and fake news
O3. To discover alternatives and counter-discourses aimed at greater inclusion of vulnerable groups
O4. Improving the critical thinking of the participants in approaching online information in order todevelop their ability to detect and react to false information
O5. Guiding youth workers in planning and managing online campaigns using social media
